||Charles H.C. Kao (高希均)
Founder and Chairman
From 1964 to 1998, Dr. Kao taught in the Department of Economics, University of Wisconsin-River Falls. He has won several honors, including Outstanding Educator of America Award (1971), Distinguished Professor of the Year Award (1974), Distinguished Alumni Award, South Dakota State University (1989), and Distinguished Achievement Award in Publishing (Taipei 2002). He has been a member of Committee of 100 (USA) since 1994.
During 1990-2012, Professor Kao was a senior economic adviser to several Premiers and the Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taipei. He also serves on a number of boards of non-profit foundations.
He has published more than ten books on contemporary economic issues with special references to economic integrations among China, Taiwan and other regions. His book The Taiwan Investment Experience on Mainland China-- A First-hand Report received a book award by the Financial Times and the Booz-Allen and Hamilton, Global Business Book Award (1996). He also received three National Book Awards in Taipei.
A frequent speaker in international forums, Dr. Kao has been an influential voice, particularly in Greater China. Being a scholar, publisher, opinion leader, columnist, Dr. Kao continues to be productive in his writings.
Founder and CEO
Ms. Wang received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism at National Cheng-Chi University, Taipei, Taiwan. Afterwards her career path never deviated from professional journalism.
After serving as Editor-in-Chief of Woman Magazine (1973-1978), and Chief Correspondent for China Times in Hong Kong, she co-founded CommonWealth Magazine with Dr. Charles Kao and Ms. Diana Ying in 1980, and served as Deputy Editor-in-Chief. In 1986, she founded Global Views Monthly with Dr. Charles Kao, and became the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Global Views – Commonwealth Publishing Group.
She is a multiple award-winner, and well respected by her journalist colleagues, she was the elected President of the Chinese Chapter, World Association of Women Journalists and Writers (i.e. the Chinese chapter of AMMPE, Asociacion Mundial de Mujeres Periodistasy Escritoras) between 2001 and 2003.
||Tso-ching Chang (張作錦)
Mr. Chang has had a life-long experience in the media. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism at National Cheng-Chi University, Taipei, Taiwan. Since then, he has dedicated his career to journalism.
Mr. Chang has held many positions in the United Daily Group, including journalist, Chief Reporter, Editor-in-Chief, Editor-in-Chief for the World Journal, and President of United Daily News, United Evening News, and United Daily News Hong Kong Edition. He was also the Vice Chairman of the United Evening News. Mr. Chang is currently the consultant to United Daily News.
Mr. Chang has also written many influential books, and has won numerous book awards. In 2010, Mr. Chang received the Ven. Master Xing Yun’s Lifetime Achievement Award in Journalism.
